BTMS50 is a behenyl-based (C22) cationic quaternary ammonium salt conditioning emulsifier. Due to the quaternary ammonium salt activity of about 55%, it has excellent thickening effect and brings significant thickening to the emulsified formula paste. As a C22 methylsulfate quaternary ammonium salt, it is more hydrophobic in nature and more likely to deposit cationic positively charged ends and lipids on the hair than the regular C18 quaternary ammonium salt, thus providing better conditioning properties. At the same time, the hydrophobicity and deposition behavior of BMS50 make the product have excellent dry hair combing, and have excellent tunability without deposition with other polymer quaternary ammonium compounds, and the formulation is easy to apply.
