BTMS50 is een behenyl-gebaseerd (C22) kationisch quaternair ammoniumzout conditionerend emulgator. Door de quaternair ammoniumzoutactiviteit van ongeveer 55% heeft het een uitstekend verdikkend effect en zorgt het voor aanzienlijke verdikking van de geëmulgeerde formulepasta. Als een C22 methylsulfaat quaternair ammoniumzout is het van nature meer hydrofoob en is het waarschijnlijker dat het kationische positief geladen uiteinden en lipiden op het haar afzet dan het reguliere C18 quaternair ammoniumzout, waardoor het betere conditionerende eigenschappen heeft. Tegelijkertijd zorgen de hydrofobiciteit en het afzettingsgedrag van BMS50 ervoor dat het product uitstekend droog haar kamt en uitstekende afstembaarheid heeft zonder afzetting met andere polymeerquaternair ammoniumverbindingen, en de formulering is gemakkelijk aan te brengen. Gebruik  BTMS50 als een basisemulgator en conditioner in haarverzorging en huidverzorging. Het heeft een breed scala aan toepassingen.
